Barrette Wakesurf Boards Warranty & Care Policy
Every Barrette board is hand-shaped, laminated, and inspected individually. Barrette Surfboards stands behind the materials and craftsmanship in every board sold through Fat Daddy's Wake Surf.
30-Day Limited Warranty
The original purchaser is covered by a 30-day limited warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship present at the time the board was built. If a claim is approved, Barrette will repair or replace the board at its discretion.
This warranty does not cover damage from normal use, impact, accidents, misuse, neglect, improper storage, heat exposure, unauthorized repairs, modifications, or failure to follow care instructions.
EPS / Epoxy Construction
Barrette boards are built with EPS foam and epoxy resin. Never repair a Barrette board with polyester/polyurethane ("poly") resin — it's incompatible with EPS foam and can damage the core. Repairs must use an EPS-compatible epoxy system. Not sure how to repair your board? Contact us before attempting anything.
Damage from poly resin, improper materials, or unauthorized repairs is not covered.
Heat & Sun
EPS boards are sensitive to heat. Never leave your board in direct sun or a hot vehicle — trapped heat can cause the foam core to expand, leading to delamination, bubbling, blistering, or warping. Heat damage isn't covered, including damage from hot decks, docks, or trailers. A board bag doesn't fully prevent this — store indoors when possible.
Dings & Water Intrusion
Repair any crack or ding that breaks the laminate right away to keep water out of the core. Don't keep riding a board with structural damage or an open ding. Damage from an unrepaired ding or continued use of a damaged board isn't a manufacturing defect and isn't covered.
Normal Wear & Tear
Not covered: pressure/heel dents, minor scratches, cosmetic wear, rail wear, fin/fin-box impact damage, traction pad wear, damage from racks/trailers/hard surfaces, collisions, high-impact maneuvers, or UV fading.
Full Exclusions
Not covered: accidents, impact, misuse, neglect, heat exposure, sun exposure, improper storage or transport, water intrusion, poly resin repairs, unauthorized repairs or modifications, improper fin/traction install, normal wear, or boards bought used or from an unauthorized seller.
Who's Covered
This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and isn't transferable. Proof of purchase may be required.

- Board model and dimensions
- Purchase date
- Description of the issue
- Photos of the full board
- Close-up photos of the damaged area
Barrette reserves the right to inspect the board before approving a claim. Approved claims are resolved by repair or replacement, at Barrette's discretion.
Board Care
Protect your board from heat, impact, and water. Keep it out of prolonged sun, never leave it in a hot vehicle, repair damage immediately, and use epoxy resin only.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights — you may have additional rights depending on your state. Barrette may update this policy for future purchases; the warranty in effect on your purchase date is the one that applies.
